Heck, I'll Take It!

I'm a little frustrated with the photo uploading at my site, so be patient and check these puppies out while I try to get my life in order, here. I apologize for the back and forth, but it's all I can do at this point. I'm an old lady, but I'll figure something out. In the meantime, talk amongst yourselves...

Ladies and gentlemen, the humble WT Dahl home:

Please explain this rug to me. When you see the rest of the home, you'll feel the same way.

I am in love...

This was simply tagged with the jpg name "sip."

This orange and blue are my new signature colors. paint your house the blue and your front door the orange! No, I was just kidding. Don't do that. You won't like it.

Ugh, do they live at the Art Center?

This, according to the website, is the Family Room. This proves there's a thin line between modern functional for the home and modern functional for the board room. yes, it's Herman Miller, but so is the cube I sit in at work.

Please note the super cool TV set up. Then be glad about it, but wonder why it's been overlooked in future upgrades, you know, like the one where they put that rug from Menards in the entry.

This was listed as the game room, but I thik they meant they were in the game room looking back at the dining room. No, wait, that's the living room.

This here's the living rooom. I thought that other place was the living room. Ah, right, that's the family room. Geez, where is everyone?

The love pit. (No explanation as to where in the house this one is.)

For zee guests - oh wait, it's listed on the roll as the master bedroom (and master bath). Really? Kinda depressing.

DIY Done Right

I can't help it, I could spend all day looking at other people's homes. It's like I think my home will magically improve if i just keep finding other's cool ideas. I was so happy this week to stumble upon Domino's Decorating Contest. I get the zine, but don't often wander over to their site, so I'm happy I made that leap today. Above are my three favs. I like the kitchen for its amazing colors and gutsy mural; I love the living room for its depth and framing; and I love the bedroom for its wall color and fearless are arrangement. I usually hang everything low, so this last one is most inspiring. Check out the entries, enter, let me know if you enter, or just let me know which were your favs.
